A police officer who was pursuing a stolen vehicle in Rishon Lezion witnessed the vehicle driving onto a traffic circle, hitting a monument, and bursting into flames.
The officer immediately exited his vehicle and pulled the injured driver from the stolen vehicle seconds before it was engulfed in flames.
The driver, 20, from Ramallah, was taken to Wolfson Medical Center in serious condition with multiple organ dysfunction.
Magen David Adom EMT Gedaliah Rabinowitz recounted: "The injured victim was rescued from a burning vehicle while conscious and suffering multiple organ dysfunction. We administered medical care that included braces and medication to stabilize his condition and mitigate the pain, and we took him to the hospital in serious condition."
