Israeli Arabs demonstrated on Tuesday near the Jalma checkpoint north of Jenin in protest of the IDF's operation in the city of Jenin, which was intended to damage terrorist infrastructure.
The Israeli Arab news site Al-Jermak reported that the demonstrators carried banners that read, among other things: "Stop the massacre," "Our voice is power," and, "Immediately stop the aggression against Jenin."
According to Al-Jermak, a police force sent to the scene tried to prevent the demonstration from taking place.
More protest demonstrations by Israeli Arabs are planned during Tuesday evening. The People's Committee in Araba al-Batuf are planning a demonstration for Tuesday evening at Yom Ha'Adama Square in their town.
Haifa youth movements plan to hold a protest Tuesday night at eight o'clock in the evening at the Paris Square in Haifa under the title, "From Haifa to Jenin, One Blood and One Destiny."
At the same time, another protest demonstration is expected to take place in Umm al-Fahm. On Monday night, similar demonstrations were held in Haifa, Umm al-Fahm, Acre, and Shfar'am.
