Merav, the daughter-in-law of Boaz, a 76-year-old man who was one of the eight people injured in the terrorist ramming and stabbing attack in Tel Aviv this afternoon (Tuesday), recounted the moments she realized he was one of the victims.
According to Merav, she recognized her father-in-law's car during a television report on the attack and feared the worst.
"At the moment the situation is stable, there are three stabbing wounds, he is talking and very confused," Merav said adding that Boaz "doesn't remember the incident, he remembers until he got to the scene and got out of the car."
Boaz was talking to a friend on the phone. In the middle of the conversation, the friend heard shots and shattering glass and the call was cut off. "The friend called us and told us and we were unable to reach him. We turned on the TV and recognized his vehicle."
"We drove towards Ichilov [Medical Center], they told us he wasn't there, so we drove to Beilinson [Hospital]. We thought the worst, when we arrived they said he was conscious, that was a bit of a relief. We're waiting to hear he's okay."
The terrorist who carried out the attack was a 23-year-old resident of the Mount Hebron area who was in Israel on a medical permit due to his terminal illness.
