MKs from parties in the Knesset's opposition on Monday morning expressed support for the IDF's widescale operation targeting terror sites in Jenin.
Opposition leader MK Yair Lapid (Yesh Atid) said, "I support the security forces who are operating in Jenin. We are all behind you. This is a justified operation against terrorist infrastructure, being conducted thanks to quality and precise intelligence. The Commando, Paratrooper, and Golani Brigades, alongside the Shin Bet, are operating against terrorist infrastructure and attempts to build Iranian-funded missile manufacturing sites."
"Together with all the people of Israel, I pray for our troops."
MK Benny Gantz, who heads the National Unity party, tweeted, "I support the security forces who are determinedly and professionally operating at the moment in Jenin against the terror which has reared its head. We are all one front against terror. Any resolute and responsible action by the government will receive full support."
MK Gideon Sa'ar of New Hope tweeted, "I support the IDF fighters and the security forces who are operating in Jenin. The entire nation is united in this battle against the terrorists, and prays for the success and welfare of our soldiers."
MK Gilad Kariv (Labor) said, "The job of the IDF is to fight terror, to defeat its infrastructure, and to protect Israel's civilians. The job of the political echelon is to think about the day after, and use the IDF's power to advance a diplomatic solution. We support the commanders and soldiers, and pray for their welfare, and also that the uninvolved residents will not be harmed."
