IDF soldiers conducted counter-terrorism activity in the area of Jenin on Monday morning and, with the guidance of the Shin Bet, apprehended the terrorist Imam Hazzam, who operated to advance a terror attack on Israel’s home front.
Imam is the son of Fathi Hazzam, who was eliminated last week (Thursday) when he attempted to stab an IDF soldier during operational activity in the Jenin area.
Following his father's elimination, Imam expressed his intentions to carry out a terror attack against Israeli civilians and security forces.
Imam is also the brother of Raed Hazzam, who carried out the shooting terror attack on Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv in 2022, murdering three Israeli civilians and wounding six others.
Yesterday, in an additional activity in the area of Sanur, IDF soldiers, guided by the ISA, apprehended an additional terrorist who was operating to carry out terror attacks against Israeli civilians.
