Media personality Ben Caspit today (Sunday) strongly attacked the left-wing Peace Now organization following the confrontation between members of the organization and members of the 'Brothers in Arms' group during a protest against the government's planned judicial reforms yesterday.

During the protest, Peace Now and other agitators raised Palestinian Authority flags as well as a banner condemning recent riots against Arabs in Judea and Samaria.

The Brothers in Arms group, which consists of IDF reservists who say that they will refuse to report for duty if the judicial reforms are passed, opposed the waving of the PLO flags. During the ensuing argument, one of the PLO flag wavers pepper-sprayed a Brothers in Arms activist. The attacker was detained by police.

“We will not accept waving enemy flags,” Brothers in Arms said following the incident. “The protest against the coup is a patriotic protest of those who love the country and not for those who oppose its existence.”

Peace Now said in a statement: "What Ben Caspit, Attila Somfalvi, and Brothers in Arms still don't understand is where this coup originated. We will continue until they understand."

Ben Caspit, known as a harsh opponent of PM Binyamin Netanyahu, responded to Peace Now: 'You're a bunch of useful idiots. I thought you had realized that you had caused enough damage to your ideological camp, but I was wrong. You won't stop until you've destroyed the current protests, which are not confined to the 'left-wing camp (which you reduced to just four seats."

Peace Now refused to back down, stating that "what brought us to the brink of dictatorship are the weak centrists who, who, in their ideological vacuum and zero political vision, left the stage to Smotrich and Rothman. Now sit back and let us work."
