The Religious Zionist Party gathered on Sunday evening for a special meeting in Kfar Etzion following the funeral of sisters Maia and Rina Dee, who were murdered in Friday's deadly terror attack in the Jordan Valley.

A statement issued following the meeting said, "We have great confidence that the current government, in which we are partners, is the one that can lead a change in the security perception and a real response to the challenges of terrorism in the various sectors."

"We are determined to lead the necessary change within the government and are sure that we will find loyal partners for this," the party added. "We send hugs to all the soldiers and commanders of the IDF and the security forces who work day and night in the various sectors for the security of the citizens of Israel and pray for their peace and success."

Meanwhile, Channel 12 News reported on Sunday that the government will instruct the Jerusalem District of the Israel Police to prevent Jews from entering the Temple Mount, Judaism's holiest site, during the final 10 days of the Muslim month of Ramadan.

Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu (Otzma Yehudit) responded to the reported decision and said, "Any sign of weakness that we showed in the past three decades did not work. Anytime we showed weakness to the people who harmed us, in the end, we were hurt, us and our children."

"Otzma Yehudit and the Likud have different mindsets and we came to change Israel's mindset. That doesn't happen in a day and we are fighting for it. This government is better than the previous government, we are moving things along through mutual respect. We stopped the grants for terrorists, we rescinded citizenship from terrorists, and we are creating a National Guard, and it isn't pleasant and there are those who yell [against it]," stated Eliyahu.
