The Religious Zionism party held a special session to commemorate Hallel and Yagel Yaniv, who were murdered in a shooting attack in Huwara last week. The session was attended by friends of Hallel, who worked with him in the party's youth activist group.

During the session, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich stated: "We thank you, friends, of Hallel, for coming to the party session. Hallel was an activist in your amazing group, we couldn't not notice him, we all remember him and his activities. We are dedicated to the words [In Ezekiel 16] 'through your blood will come life' that help us to understand how we continue his and Yagel's path and to understand how to positively impact the nation of Israel."

Hallel's friends described their friend: "Hallel was thorough, he knew his place and how to take advantage of his position to do significant things, but also knew how to wind things down when a good and positive atmosphere was needed. His calm and his part in our path are missing. Hallel knew how to be sarcastic, but if there was one thing he didn't scoff at, it was you. He appreciated you and your work as Knesset members. His kindness and will to give to others and help were great. We miss his smile and advice."

Immigration Absorption Minister Ofir Sofer stated: "I knew Hallel Yaniv, who was active in the party's youth group, for a short time. He was an idealistic boy with an amazing smile who enlisted with party youth for public activism, to apply the party's ideology, and to do many acts of kindness for the public. I want to support you and call you to continue your work, don't be discouraged."

Minister Orit Strock added: "Today, all of Israel has the privilege to be acquainted with Hallel's unique and enlighting character. But we had the privilege to know him as part of a wonderful group, a group that is all ideals, giving, and unlimited consideration. Today, this group is mourning and missing, and we're here to encourage and support you to continue your Hallel's enlighting way. We are fortunate to have such youth."

Deputy Minister Michal Waldinger stated: "Thank you to this amazing group, close friends of Hillel's who came to the party session and opened a door to this unique character. Religious Zionism stands with you always and will assist you in any initiative in Hallel's memory."

MK Ohad Tal said: "I want to say thanks to the party youth, and above all, to Noam Nissan, for his amazing leadership. We very much appreciate your activism and your gathering to make a real change. You are a substantial part of our work. Good for you."

MK Moshe Solomon summed up: "I met Today with the Religious Zionism party youth. I met ambitious youth who represent the good side of the civilian public, they see the reality and work to better the world while giving their time and giving up on their personal interests. During the meeting, we spoke about Hallel Yaniv, one of the Party youth who served in different leadership positions. I discovered an amazing character at this age, already an amazing character. I'm sure that the nation of Israel would have gotten to know him if not for these tragic circumstances."
