In the pre-dawn hours of Wednesday morning, police officers stopped a vehicle carrying four Jewish residents of the community of Gav HaHar in Samaria, in the context of their search for Jews who caused fire damage to buildings and scrapyard vehicles in the Arab village of Huwara on Sunday.

The four Jews were detained not far from the location where Hillel and Yagel Yaniv were shot to death by terrorists on Sunday afternoon.

The police refused to release the four even after they presented their orders to report for IDF reserve duty. They were kept in detention until Shabak officers in the organization's Jewish Department arrived and checked their names, and only then were they released to continue on their way to their army base.

In footage from the incident which was filmed by one of the four, police can be seen allowing PA-Arabs to pass.

"When an Arab vehicle arrived at the intersection, one police officer asked another: 'Is he an Arab? If he is, let him pass,'" related one of the reservists.

"We were very upset. The security establishment has forgotten who is friend and who is foe and seems to be turning itself into a UN proxy. Our blood is boiling. Hillel and Yagel's family are sitting shivah, their murderer has not yet been caught, and a few hundred meters from the scene of the attack, security forces stop and detain us Jewish residents when we ourselves are on our way to serve the state. It's hard to believe this is happening."
