MK Dudi Amsalem of the Likud on Friday launched an unprecedented attack on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after being left out of the government.

Amsalem came out to thank the supporters who came to demonstrate outside his home and proceeded to attack Netanyahu, "No one will ever humiliate David Amsalem. They are not humiliating just Amsalem - but all the Amsalems and Bitans."

"Not here, not in our party of which we make up 70%. I am in my home, Dudi Amsalem, I grew up in the Likud, I am the most veteran among the members of the faction. I have been in the Likud as a child since the age of 15 - I am not second tier,” he charged.

"I said to the Prime Minister - you were elected to lead and I respect that, but those same people elected me to fourth place [on the Likud slate]. And I'm not asking for anything that I don't deserve based on the order [of the slate] - so you gave Yariv Levin the Justice Ministry, great. So you gave to Galant, you gave to Eli Cohen, and where is David Amsalem? Are you skipping over me? What are my sins and what are my crimes? I will not be humiliated. We, the Sephardim, will not be humiliated. Never. No one will humiliate us, members of the Mizrahi ethnic group, not even a Prime Minister from the Likud."

"In our house, we are second tier? Amsalem David? Most of the voters of the Likud are Amsalems and Bitans, so we should apologize because we came in fourth place? What is this audacity? I see it as ungratefulness from the Prime Minister," continued Amsalem.

"By the way, I told him that. But it's not important. The people of Israel are more important than Dudi Amsalem and the Likud, and that's why we will continue to work for the people of Israel. We will save the country and every day we intend to continue to take care of the weaker sections and work towards governance."

Yair Netanyahu, the Prime Minister's son, reacted on Twitter to Amsalem’s comments and quipped, "It is a well-known fact that Amir Ohana is of Polish descent."
