As the Likud's negotiations with other parties are ongoing, some of the party's own MKs can expect to receive senior positions in the government, while others are likely to be disappointed.
According to Israel Hayom, Likud MK Miri Regev is likely to become Education Minister, with her party mates MKs Yoav Galant and Yariv Levin expected to become Defense Minister and Justice Minister, respectively.
MK Amir Ohana, who is a former Justice Minister, is expected to become either Knesset Speaker or Foreign Minister. Ron Dermer, a former ambassador who does not serve as a Likud MK, is no longer seen as a candidate for Foreign Minister, the site said.
Meanwhile, Likud's MKs Yoav Kisch, Ofir Akunis, and Danny Danon are also interested in the position of Knesset Speaker.
MKs Eli Cohen and Nir Barkat both seek the Economy Ministry, while MK Miki Zohar seeks the Culture and Sport Ministry, and MK Gila Gamliel seeks the Environmental Protection Ministry.
Other ministries expected to remain in the hands of the Likud are Communications, Science, Welfare, Intelligence, and Regional Cooperation, Israel Hayom added.
