Otzma Yehudit chairman MK Itamar Ben-Gvir has published a statement according to which he has agreed to the proposal he received from Religious Zionism party chairman MK Bezalel Smotrich, via Channel 12 News.

Under the proposal, places two, five, seven, nine, and ten on the list will be reserved for Otzma Yehudit candidates in the elections for the 25th Knesset. According to the report, Smotrich is also demanding that he personally approve the person who is given the seventh spot on the list. Otzma Yehudit has previously stated that it wishes to place a traditional candidate from the periphery in the seventh spot.

"I am confident that MK Smotrich will have no objection to placing Otzma Yehudit's candidate in the seventh spot," responded Ben-Gvir. "This is a man of traditional values from the periphery, and therefore I will agree to the new proposal that was presented to me for the first time via Channel 12 News."

Ben-Gvir added: "For the sake of victory of the Right - I call on Bezalel, let's sign this agreement tonight."
