Several volunteer units from United Hatzalah were summoned to a home in the city of Bnei Brak on Sunday evening, following reports of a small infant who failed to wake up from an afternoon nap.

First-responders performed CPR on the three-month-old girl during which she was evacuated via a mobile ICU unit to Schneider Children’s Medical Center in Petah Tikva, where her pulse returned.

United Hatzalah volunteer responders Daniel Horberg and Moshe Weiss stated: “When we arrived at the home, we found a three-month-old baby who was unconscious, not breathing, and with no pulse. We began advanced CPR.”

Eliezer Margalit, another volunteer, noted that the baby had apparently lost consciousness while asleep.

“Due to the nature of the incident, several mental health support teams were sent to the home to provide emergency emotional care to the family,” added Moishe Kreitenberg, also a volunteer with United Hatzalah.

The baby has been hospitalized in critical condition, and the family has appealed to the public to pray for the recovery of Rachel bat Tziporah Faiga.
