This week we find the very famous story of the 2.5 shvatim (tribes) asking to stay on the other side of the Jordan River.

When Moshe (Moses) hears their request, he gets upset, but unlike you'd think - he doesn't get angry at them for not wanting to enter the Land of Israel. Rather, he's angry that their request might make the rest of Am Yisrael (the People of Israel) nervous about entering the Land of Israel - and we'll get a second situation similar to the Meraglim (spies).

Why isn't the fact that they're not entering the Land of Israel what bothers Moshe? But on top of that, it's clear from the midrashim, that they did do something wrong at the end of the day, even with the deal they did with Moshe - so if they have a deal - what's so wrong about this?! What's actually going on here with the 2.5 shvatim??
