Prime Minister Yair Lapid, this evening addressed the Israeli Security Agency (Shabak) senior management forum in the framework of a strategic concept meeting to formulate the Shabak's courses of action for 2023.
Prime Minister Lapid reviewed the current security challenges facing the State of Israel and emphasized the central role of the Shabak in meeting these challenges. He praised the ISA for its counterterrorist actions that halted the wave of terrorism and led to the thwarting of over 170 significant terrorist attacks since the beginning of the year.
Prime Minister Lapid said: "Here, there is a group of people with values that act out of dedication and a deep understanding of the principles upon which the state is built."
"People do not know how many terrorist attacks you have prevented. Many owe you their lives. Yours is an unending mission and on behalf of the Government of Israel, I would like to thank you."
