Security sources have said that if the political echelon gives the order, Israel will be immediately ready to carry out an operation in Gaza, Kan 11 reported.

The sources added that since last year's Operation Guardian of the Walls, the bank of targets in Gaza has been updated and expanded.

On Friday night, three rockets were fired from Gaza towards Israel, one of which landed in Israeli territory.

The last four of the six rockets fired this week landed in open areas or in Gaza, and Israel decided not to retaliate.

On Saturday morning, Israel's defense establishment decided to close the Erez Crossing to Gazans wishing to enter Israel. Around 1,200 Gazans who hold work permits in Israel will not be allowed to enter Israel to work on Sunday.

A situational assessment will be held Sunday to discuss the rest of the week, in accordance with the developments.
