A collision between three vehicles - two Israeli and one from the Palestinian Authority - left a four-year-old child moderately injured.

The collision took place on Saturday on Route 60 near the town of Eli, between Maaleh Levonah and Rehelim.

Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics together with IDF medics provided medical aid to the injured and transferred six people to the hospital. Among the injured are a man and woman in their 30s, who are in serious condition; a four-year-old in moderate condition; and three people who suffered light injuries.

Two others who were lightly injured were evacuated to the Palestinian Authority by Red Crescent personnel.

MDA paramedics Bezalel Ben Hemo and David Trachtenberg said, "This was a very serious head-on collision with an additional vehicle involved. In one of the vehicles, there were five family members - parents and three children. In another vehicle, there was just a female driver, and in the third vehicle there were two people (Palestinians)."

"With the help of the firefighters, we extracted the injured from the vehicles, provided quick first aid at the scene, and transferred them to the hospital, with the parents in serious condition, a boy of about four in moderate condition, and the others in light condition. Two passengers were evacuated home by the Red Crescent."
