Shavuot, the Festival of the First-Fruits, is just around the corner.

It is time to praise and thank HaShem for the beauty and the bounty of the land of Israel.

Twenty nine years ago, more than 14,000 Jews of Ethiopia made a 3,000-year-old dream and prophesy come true by returning from an ancient exile to the land of their fathers.

Like Naomi Shemer, the writer of "Jerusalem of Gold," they knew what the words "How the cisterns have dried, the market place is empty and no one frequents the Temple Mount," were referring to. Too bad our judges are clueless.
