U.S. President Barack Obama was sworn in Sunday to a second term, in a private ceremony at the White House.\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe oath was administered by Chief Justice John Roberts, inside the White House’s Blue Room.\n\n\n\nThe president was surrounded by his immediate family and was sworn in with a Bible belonging to the family of his wife, first lady Michelle Obama. His two daughters, Malia and Sasha, stood next to the first lady.\n\n\n\nThe president hugged his wife and daughters after the oath was administered, and said “Thank you Sweetie” to the first lady. He then hugged his daughters and thanked Malia. Sasha said, “Good job, dad.” The president replied, “I did it.”\n\n\n\nIn Israel, Obama's second term is viewed with foreboding on both Left and Right. Polls have shown that a majority of Israelis do not trust Obama and sense that he is hostile toward the Jewish state.\n\n\n\nLeftists predict that Obama's pressure on Israel will be so great that Netanyahu's new government will not last very long before being toppled. Nationalists see this pressure as precisely the reason for forming a tough, nationalist government.
