The Modzitz Rebbe, Rabbi Haim Shaul Taub, was taken to Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center on Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) night after experiencing general weakness.

The Rebbe was taken to the hospital on the advice of his physicians and was hospitalized overnight for a comprehensive series of tests.

After his condition stabilized and the test results came back normal, he was discharged and returned home in the early morning hours.

Despite the incident and his noticeable weakness, the Rebbe returned to the hasidic movement's main study hall at 7:00 a.m., and 25 minutes later, began to pray together with his followers.

Throughout the holiday, the Rebbe insisted on continuing to lead the prayers and served as cantor for the Shacharit and Mussaf services in the presence of his followers.

The Modzitz hasidic community is asking the public to continue praying for the recovery of Rabbi Haim Shaul, the son of Beila Rachel, among the other ill of Israel.
