Egypt's Health Ministry reported that 16 people were killed and 26 others injured when a bus overturned on the Dahab-Nuweiba road in southern Sinai.
According to reports from the scene, dozens of ambulances and rescue teams are responding to the serious accident, and the death toll may rise.
Last month, another serious accident occurred in the Ismailia Governorate, killing 15 people and injuring 32 others.
In March, an Israeli citizen and Breslov hasid who was traveling to Uman was killed in a traffic accident in Sharm el-Sheikh.
According to the Foreign Ministry, two additional Israeli citizens were injured in the accident, which occurred near Taba.
