Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana encountered a series of defamatory posters targeting him on Tuesday morning along the entire route from his home to the school where his children study. Ohana had been accompanying his children to school to mark the opening of the new school year when he discovered the posters.
Following the incident, he published an angry tweet, sharply criticizing those responsible for putting them up.
“There is no violent, disgusting and ugly soul camp like the one that can stain the first day of school for my children, Eli and David, who are going up to school this morning," Ohana wrote. "These were not intended for me, but for them and their classmates."
“Is this the kind of state character we want to live in? Is this how we want to resolve political disputes between us? That is in your hands," he wrote.
