Google is raising the prices of its YouTube Premium and YouTube Music services in Israel, marking what appears to be the first price increase since the services were launched in the country several years ago.
Under the new pricing, an individual YouTube Premium subscription will rise from NIS 23.90 to NIS 29.90 per month, an increase of about 25%. The family plan will increase from NIS 45.90 to NIS 54.90, while the student plan will rise from NIS 15.90 to NIS 18.90 per month.
YouTube Music subscriptions will also become more expensive, with the monthly price for an individual plan increasing from NIS 19.90 to NIS 23.90.
According to Google, the new prices already apply to new subscribers. Existing subscribers will be charged the updated rates starting with their next billing cycle after receiving advance notice of the change.
Google said the increase is intended to support the continued development of the services and provide ongoing support for content creators and artists, while also improving the experience for subscribers.
