A new poll conducted by the Kantar Institute for Kan News shows that if elections were held today, Gadi Eisenkot would win 24 seats, while Prime Minister Netanyahu would receive 22.
Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid would win 14 seats, Yair Golan 10, Itamar Ben-Gvir 9, Avigdor Liberman 9, Moshe Gafni 8, Shas 7, Joint List 7, Bezalel Smotrich 5, and Mansour Abbas 5.
Under this scenario, the right-wing bloc would win 51 seats, while the anti-Netanyahu bloc would hold 57, leaving both sides short of the 61 seats needed to form a government.
The poll also examined a scenario in which Ofer Winter runs in the election. His party would win five seats, but his entry into the race would leave Bezalel Smotrich's party barely above the electoral threshold, while Itamar Ben-Gvir's party would lose strength and Liberman would gain an additional seat.
In that scenario, the right-wing bloc would fall to 50 seats, while the anti-Netanyahu bloc would rise to 58.
Meanwhile, associates of Prime Minister Netanyahu say his circle is considering how to respond to Winter's political bid. At present, the intention is reportedly to attack Winter politically in an effort to weaken his party. According to Netanyahu's associates, Winter was previously offered a place on the Likud slate but turned it down.
