A knife-wielding terrorist attempted to stab an IDF soldier during an operation in the Jenin area early Friday morning, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said.
The troops responded with gunfire and eliminated the attacker. The IDF said no soldiers were injured in the incident.
Earlier this week, security forces completed a large-scale brigade-level operation in the town of Qabatiya. As part of the operation, troops searched approximately 100 buildings, arrested wanted individuals and questioned additional suspects in the area.
At the same time, security forces and Duvdevan Unit troops operated in Qabatiya and the Far'a refugee camp, based on precise intelligence provided by the Shin Bet (israel Security Agency).
During the operation, two terrorists suspected of planning and advancing terrorist plots targeting Israeli civilians and IDF troops were arrested.
