A young woman in her 20s residing in a residential group home in the Dan region was located Thursday evening after being forcibly abducted by members of her family, according to police.

A joint operation conducted by Samaria and Judea District police officers alongside IDF troops in the Hebron area led to her location and safe recovery.

The incident began in the evening hours when police received a report that the young woman's family members had taken her away in their vehicle. Operational and intelligence measures carried out by law enforcement quickly heightened suspicions that the suspects were located inside the city of Hebron.

Officers from the Hebron Police Station in the Judea Regional Division, along with a representative from the Samaria and Judea District Police Coordination and Liaison Unit and IDF troops from the Judea Brigade, deployed along the outskirts of the city. Concurrently, Palestinian Arab police conducted searches for the family members.

At a certain point, the vehicle was spotted exiting the town and was intercepted by IDF soldiers. Troops called police officers to the scene, and the young woman was safely transferred into police care.

Her family members were detained and brought to the Hebron Police Station for questioning. They are expected to be handed over to Tel Aviv District investigators for further proceedings.
