Five people sustained minor injuries Thursday evening in a rock-throwing attack near Hill 26 in the Orot Netanel neighborhood, adjacent to Kiryat Arba. According to Hatzalah Judea and Samaria, the injured include two civilians and three security personnel.
The incident began when Palestinian Arabs armed with clubs ambushed a Jewish woman making her way toward Kiryat Arba. Realizing the danger, she immediately alerted security forces.
The chief security officer of Kiryat Arba arrived at the scene in response to the call, at which point the assailants began pelting him with rocks. He suffered minor head injuries from the barrage.
During the encounter, the security officer fired warning shots into the air, prompting the attackers to flee the scene. In total, five people were lightly injured in the attack, including the two civilians and three security personnel.
