The new recruits to the haredi Hashmonaim Brigade held a special bonfire lighting together at their base to mark the annivrsary of the passing of the Talmudic sage Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai.
The Hasidic influencer Mendel Rata, who enlisted in the brigade last year, wrote, "Hats off to them! The new recruits to the Hashmonaim Brigade held a bonfire lighting in honor of Rabbi Shimon."
