Three Israeli women in their 20s and a two-year-old toddler were rescued from the city of Jericho in Judea and Samaria after entering the area for a holiday vacation.

The rescue was carried out by police from the Civil Coordination and Liaison unit in the Judea and Samaria District, in cooperation with the Civil Administration. The women were transferred for questioning at a police station.

According to a police statement, the report of their entry was received by the coordination unit, after which forces acted quickly to locate them and extract them from the city. Jericho is under Palestinian Authority control, and entry by Israeli citizens is prohibited by law.

After being returned to Israeli territory, the women stated that they had entered the area for a holiday trip and were unaware of the danger to their lives. They were taken for further questioning at the Maaleh Adumim police station.

Police emphasized that entry by Israeli citizens into areas under Palestinian Authority control poses a serious danger to life and is illegal. The statement added that the Jericho incident ended without injuries, and all those involved were safely rescued.
