
Earlier on Saturday, two IDF reserve soldiers were lightly injured as a result of an explosive device that detonated during an operation to clear the area of terrorist infrastructure in the southern Gaza Strip.
The soldiers were evacuated to a hospital to receive medical treatment, and their families were notified.
On Friday, IDF troops operating in the southern Gaza Strip identified two terrorists who crossed the yellow line, posing an immediate threat to them.
Following the identification, the troops eliminated one of the terrorists in order to remove the threat.
"IDF troops in the southern command remain deployed in the area in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat," the IDF said.
