In a targeted operation by fighters from the Gideonim Unit 33 of Lahav 433, in coordination with the IDF’s Binyamin Brigade and under the intelligence guidance of the Shin Bet, two terrorists were arrested in the heart of Ramallah.
The arrest followed intelligence reports indicating that the two intended to carry out a terror attack, shortly after the detention of other cell members last week. One of the suspects, reportedly in possession of a handgun, was apprehended before he could use it.
The detainees were taken for interrogation by the Shin Bet, with the goal of clarifying their intentions and exposing the support networks that assisted them.
The police and security forces emphasized that they will continue to act decisively and in close coordination to thwart terror infrastructure and protect the safety of Israeli citizens.
