In a special overnight operation, forces from the IDF's Golan Brigade (474), under the command of Division 210 and in coordination with Unit 504 field operatives, arrested a terror cell directed by Iran.

The Tuesday night operation took place in the areas of Umm al-Luqs and Ein al-Bassali in southern Syria.

The operation was carried out based on intelligence gathered in recent weeks during interrogations. During the arrest, weapons were also discovered, including several firearms and grenades.

An IDF spokesperson stated: “The division’s forces continue to operate to prevent the entrenchment of any terrorist elements in Syria, with the aim of protecting the citizens of the State of Israel, and the residents of the Golan Heights in particular.”
