The Israel Dog Unit (IDU), a nonprofit specializing in working dogs, has initiated a new phase of specialized training aimed at strengthening its capabilities in locating missing persons and tracking down terrorists.
The program is led by Nati Gibli, Israel’s national champion tracker and a certified instructor recognized by the Israeli Kennel Club. The training is designed to enhance the IDU’s response in scenarios where precise tracking is critical.
The training effort is bolstered by the involvement of master tracker Noam Eitan, a founding member of the elite Shaldag special forces unit.
Israel Dog Unit director Yekutiel Ben-Yaakov, who leads the Israel Dog Unit, spoke of the gravity and importance of their mission: "We approach the training of dogs and handlers with reverence. This is a holy task — to save lives and protect the people of Israel. We are deeply grateful to Nati Gibli for his expertise and dedication to this vital cause."
