Two IDF soldiers were killed in the early hours of Wednesday morning by a UAV launched from Iraq towards northern Israel.
Sergeant Daniel Aviv Haim Sofer, 19, from Ashkelon, an apprentice in a dedicated route to become a Battalion's Communications Officer in the 13th Battalion, Golani Brigade, fell during combat in northern Israel.
Corporal Tal Dror, 19, from Jerusalem, a communications soldier in the 13th Battalion, Golani Brigade, fell during combat in northern Israel.
Twenty-four other soldiers were injured in the strike, one of them seriously.
The IDF added: "In the incident where Sergeant Daniel and Corporal Tal fell, an additional soldier and a non-commissioned officer from the 13th Battalion were severely injured. They were evacuated to a hospital for further treatment. Their families have been notified."
