An IDF F-15 fighter jet was forced to make an emergency landing a short time after conducting a strike in the Gaza Strip due to a technical malfunction, Kan News reported.

According to the report, while landing the landing gear did not open, the munitions fell on the ground, and the plane partially landed on its belly.

The incident occurred at the Tel Nof Airbase. No one was hurt in the incident.

The IDF Spokesperson commented that "as a fighter jet landed at an IDF base in central Israel as part of operational activity there was a technical malfunction with the landing gear.

"Air-crew tended to the incident and moved to an emergency landing. During the landing, the aircraft was damaged. No one was hurt and the incident is being dealt with and investigated," the IDF added.
