A suspected terror attempt was thwarted in Be'er Sheva, after a suspect aged about 30 attempted to steal a weapon from a police officer.
The suspect was shot and eliminated. The police officer was not harmed.
Israel Police have reported that the suspect was acting under the influence of alcohol.
"The incident is criminal, and there is no concern of a terror attack," police said.
The incident is being investigated.
