Israeli singer Itay Levy thrilled hundreds of guests at a fundraiser for IDF soldiers in New York with the song Al Tira Yisrael - Have No Fear, Israel.
Levy performed at the event at the request of the Jewish community. All 1,000 tickets to the event were sold within 48 hours. The event took place last night.
Last weekend, Levy performed in front of thousands of guests at a fundraiser in New York. All proceeds went to the Friends of the IDF organization. There, he wowed the audience with the classic Israeli song 'Jerusalem of Gold'.
While on stage, he made an emotional declaration to the audience: "On Oct. 7th, our lives changed. We got through the coronavirus crisis and thought that was the end of the world, but then we woke up on the black Shabbat with so many dead, captured, injured, and survivors."
"In the name of my country and my people, we would like to say thank you very much. We feel alone sometimes because our country is filled with so much disappointment, tears, and painful losses, but we remain strong. Am Yisrael Chai - the nation of Israel is alive!"
