The IDF has cleared for publication that Staff Sergeant Eitan Dov Rosenzweig, 21, from Alon Shvut, fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. Rosenzweig served in the Shaked Battalion of the Givati Brigade.

The soldier was a student at the Yeruham Hesder Yeshiva. The Association of Hesder Yeshivas stated: "The Association of Hesder Yeshivas sorely mourns the falling of Givati soldier Staff Sergeant Eitan Dov Rosenzweig, a student at the Yeruham Hesder Yeshiva, who fell in the war. In the name of all the Hesder Yeshiva deans, rabbis, and students, we embrace the family in their difficult times and pray for a decisive victory by our heroic soldiers over our lowly and brutal enemies. May his soul be bound in the bounds of life."

In addition, a reservist from the Intelligence Directorate's Unit 504 was seriously wounded in battle. Likewise, a soldier in the Golani Reconnaissance Unit was severely wounded as well.

Earlier in the day, the IDF reported that soldiers of the Givati ​​Brigade conducted operational activity at the headquarters of Hamas’ Northern Brigade, which is located in the Sheikh Zayed area in the northern Gaza Strip.

The soldiers carried out operational activity at the outpost, where they located several tunnel shafts, including a strategic tunnel shaft 50 meters deep and 7 meters wide. A scaled-down model simulating an IDF armored fighting vehicle and a wall simulating the security fence of Gaza were also located in the area.
