US President Joe Biden stated that he believes a deal to free the hostages who have been held by Hamas in Gaza since October 7 is going to happen.

During a press briefing on his administration's climate change policies on Tuesday, Biden was asked if he could comment on a possible deal to free the hostages.

"Yes, I can. I've been talking with the people involved every single day. I believe it's gonna happen, but I don't wanna get into detail," he said.

When asked if he had a message for the families of" hostages, the President replied: "Hang in there. We're coming."

About 240 people were taken hostage by Hamas and other terrorists during the massacre of October 7, including citizens of dozens of countries. About 30 of the hostages are US citizens, the youngest of whom is a three-year-old boy whose parents were among the 1,200 people murdered that day.

Hamas has freed four hostages so far, including two US citizens.

Following President Biden's comments, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated: "Our hearts are always with the abductees and their families. Since the beginning of the war, we have been working continuously to free our abductees, including exerting increasing pressure since the beginning of the ground operation. If and when there is something concrete to report on - we will do so."
