Oren Goldin, a 33-year-old resident of Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak, was murdered on October 7, the morning of the start of the attack on Israel.
Oren was originally declared a hostage, but early on Friday morning, his family was informed that he was murdered in Hamas' brutal attack on Israel, and that his body is being held by Hamas.
Goldin is survived by his wife, Oshrit, and two-year-old twin boys Aviv and Ayali. He ran the car repair shop in Nir Yitzhak.
Goldin grew up in Nir Yitzhak, and chose to raise his family in the kibbutz, alongside his parents and siblings.
The Headquarters for the Hostages' Families responded to the news, saying, "Oren was the type of person that everyone wanted as a friend. He gave all of himself - in the car repair shop he ran in the kibbutz, and in every place he was needed, Oren was always willing to help with anything."
