Michal Pinyan, a survivor of the Hamas attack against Kibbutz Be'eri, spoke with Arutz Sheva - Israel National News about the ordeal.

"My life stopped a month ago. Ever since then, I have been floating, wondering when I will wake up and see the hostages again."

Michal has to help her children through the ordeal as well: "my children are the reason that I still wake up and smile in the morning. When my mother was calling for help, I shut down, and haven't felt anything since. I have been trying to decide what to tell them."

The support from the world has been critical and helping her family through this tragedy. "The embrace from the world gives me a lot of strength. There is an embrace from the community, from the nation, from the world."

She urges the international community too keep raising awareness of the incident. "We have a tendency to forget very quickly. If that happens, my parents were slaughtered for nothing. We need people to keep pumping this issue to the top of the list of priorities and reminding the world that we still need more help to survive and rebuild."

"I hope that our soldiers return safe and alive. It kills me knowing they are in danger in Gaza, the same way I felt when I could not help my mother. At the same time, what else can you do when you have to protect your country?"
