El Al cargo flight carries pictures of hostages on its seats

A special flight of equipment headed for Israel had pictures of the hostages held captive by Hamas on its seats, in the hopes of their speedy return.

El Al Airlines on Monday attached photos of the hostages taken by Hamas to the seats of a flight from New York to Israel, as a symbol of hope for their return to Israel.

The flight was not open to passengers and was intended to ship medical and tactical equipment to Israel.

The flight was sponsored by the Amudim organization, a charity that helps those in cycles of distress, and the Phoenix Group, an insurance underwriter company.
