The ISA uncovered and arrested a terrorist cell that carried out several shooting attacks in the Samaria region. During the arrest, weapons used in the attacks were also seized.
The six members of the squad are Abdullah Haj Muhammad, Ibrahim Nesan, Muhammad Haj Muhammad, Majed Nesan, Ayyub Nesan and Abd al-Karim Abu Alia, residents of the village of Ma'air in Benjamin.
Charges were filed against the six.
The suspects were arrested shortly after the attacks were carried out. During their investigation by the ISA, it emerged that two of the attacks, including shooting at a military force in Turmus Aya about three months ago, were carried out by Abdullah Haj Muhammad, Ibrahim Nesan and Muhammad Haj Muhammad.
The third attack was carried out by Majed Nessan, Ayub Nessan and Abd al-Karim Abu Alia, under the direction of Abdullah Haj Muhammad, in order to try and disrupt the investigation of those involved in the previous attacks.
During the investigation of the six, information was received according to which the members of the squad purchased weapons from an arms dealer in the Jenin area, were in contact with terrorist elements from the Gaza Strip in order to receive funding for their activities, and after each of the attacks distributed a notice of acceptance of responsibility on behalf of the "Martyr Raad Neesan Group", including documentation of the shooting.
