
Israeli singer Noa Kirel advanced to the finals of the Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held on Saturday night, after a successful performance of her song “Unicorn” at the semifinals which were hold on Tuesday evening in Liverpool.
Other countries which advanced to the finals are Croatia, Moldova, Switzerland, Finland, Czech Republic, Portugal, Sweden, Serbia and Norway. The second round of the semifinals will be held on Thursday evening.
Kirel said after her performance that "the electricity in the crowd gave us so much energy to do our best to represent the country with respect."
Earlier on Tuesday evening, Kirel held a final rehearsal before the semifinal and sent a message of strength to the country following the launch of Operation Shield and Arrow.
"I hope that my performance at Eurovision will strengthen the citizens of Israel, give them support and a little encouragement at this time. With God's help, we will get through this in peace," she told Kan 11 News.
