Israel Police arrested an Arab couple in their 20s on suspicion that they were abusing their young children, Israel Hayom reported.
The couple, residents of Kafr Qassam, are suspected of both attacking and neglecting their two- and three-year-old children.
The investigation was opened on Thursday, following a report on the matter.
After the children were interrogated by welfare authorities, suspicions against the parents increased, and a visit to their home raised suspicions of neglect.
Following this, the parents were interrogated, after which they were jailed.
The court has extended the parents' arrest until Monday.
