There has been an improvement in the condition of one of the victims of the terrorist shooting attack in the Shimon Hatzaddik neighborhood of Jerusalem this morning.

Shaarei Tzedek Medical Center reported that "the wounded man arrived in moderate condition and after evaluation was transferred to urgent surgery. The surgery was successful, the patient regained consciousness and is recovering and will soon be transferred to the ward for further treatment and supervision."

Two Breslov Hasidim were moderately wounded when a terrorist approached their car and opened fire at them at point-blank range.

Police and Shin Bet forces continue to hunt for the shooter, whose weapon was found near the scene of the attack.

Israel Police Commander Sami Marciano said: "We hope in the next few hours to catch the terrorist. We located the Carlo-type weapon and another item on his escape route. We are working in full cooperation with the Shin Bet."

Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedic Nir Buzaglo said: "The victims were hit by gunshots while travelling in a vehicle. They continued driving and stopped alongside a police car and reported the incident."

"We were quickly on scene with large numbers of MDA teams, one of the victims was lying on the street and the other was walking nearby, they were fully conscious with bullet wounds to their upper bodies. We provided primary medical treatment, stopped the bleeding, placed bandages and gave medications, and evacuated them in MDA MICUs to hospitals, in moderate condition and fully conscious."
