The search continues for the terrorist who committed the shooting attack in the Jordan Valley that claimed the lives of two sisters from the town of Efrat, south of Jerusalem. As of publication, the girls' names are still under a gag order.

The girls' mother was severely injured in the attack, her life is still at risk, and she is unconscious and on a respirator in the ICU after undergoing emergency orthopedic surgery.

Following an order by the Prime Minister and a situational assessment, it was decided to call up three Border Police reserve battalions to raise the police presence and strengthen security in the center of cities and crowded places.

The United States condemned the recent attacks: "The United States strongly condemns today’s terrorist attacks in the West Bank and Tel Aviv. We extend our deepest condolences to the victims’ families and loved ones and wish a full recovery to the injured. The three horrific attacks today, in which three were killed and at least eight others wounded, affected citizens of Israel, Italy, and the United Kingdom. The targeting of innocent civilians of any nationality is unconscionable. The United States stands with the government and people of Israel. We are in close contact with our Israeli partners and reaffirm our enduring commitment to their security."
