A serious blaze occurred in a Flatbush apartment building at approximately 10:45 a.m., leaving one resident with serious injuries, Yeshiva World News reported.
The victim, a 60-year-old male, was taken out of the burning building by Flatbush Hatzolah who transported him to the hospital.
New York City firefighters were able to extinguish the fire about 30 minutes later.
Flatbush Hatzolah described the victim's injuries as serious burns and smoke inhalation. He is being treated at the Staten Island University Hospital burn unit, according to the news outlet.
The cause of the fire has not been released.
