Police in Medford, Oregon are investigating after a menorah was vandalized twice in one week during Hanukkah, KOBI5 reported.

The second incident was serious enough that the menorah will have to be replaced.

Medford Police said that the menorah and display in the city’s Vogel Park was first vandalized on December 23 during Hanukkah. They named Isaiah Cleveland, 24, as the alleged vandal, saying that he pushed over the menorah.

Cleveland later admitted to vandalizing the display and was arrested and charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

But Medford Police said that last Tuesday, the day after Hanukkah, the menorah was again thrown to the ground. In that case, it broke and is not repairable.

“The second incident may be different. It may be different circumstances, we don’t have that information at this time, but we’re definitely hoping to close that case out with an arrest here shortly,” Lieutenant Rebecca Pietila said, according to the report.
