MK Vladimir Beliak from Yesh Atid, who considers the swearing in of the new government "a sad day for Israeli democracy", was a guest at the Israel National News broadcast station in the Knesset on Thursday.

"There is going to be a government here that is not only dangerous, extremist and racist, but it is also disorganized. I just heard about two ministers of welfare at the same time, in the same ministry, when strangely they get replaced in the middle of the term, six ministers of education, they dismantled ministries, they added ministries. I don't know how can it work? We will do everything to shorten the life of this government," he said.

On the promises that his own party broke on the issue of the size of the outgoing government, Beliak said, "I admit that our government was too big. We only had 17 seats out of 61 and it was smaller than the Netanyahu-Gantz government and much smaller and leaner than the government that is expected to be formed. I was not satisfied with the size of our government. I think that after the next elections we will be stronger but smaller."

"In 2013, we passed the law limiting the number of ministers. We will return to it. These are our values and we will establish a smaller government," Beliak said.

Asked if there is room to at least congratulate the stability of the incoming government, he replied, "There were elections and there was a very clear decision and we accept it. We're going to the opposition, but I'm not sure it will be such a stable government. We see that until now they haven't decided on the final composition. I'm not optimistic, I don't think it can work. It's going to be bad and dangerous and I have the feeling that we, as the largest party in the opposition, are working not only to represent the huge voting public, but to save the liberal democratic Jewish state. We will use all the tools to do it."
